Good day my friends, as you all know that in MWC 2012, new smartphones with ultra outstanding specs were unveiled. Fujitsu, the Japan based company, managed to grab quite a bit of the spotlight by unveiling their brand new waterproof quad core prototype smart phone.
Quad core seems to be very popular this year along with Nvidia’s new 4 Plus 1 Tegra 3 system on a chip. For now, they’ve decided to call it the “quad core prototype”.
Fujitsu has outfitted the gadget with many Ultra high-end specs to create an overall impressive smartphone. The hardware configuration seems to be quite similar to other Tegra 3 phones, the cameras or displays being the only points of difference between Tegra 3 phones as of now.
Design
- The Tegra 3 prototype sports a very classic look akin to many Android smartphones.
- Sports a 4.6 inch high resolution display.
- Just like every other product from Fujitsu, this phone has a dustproof and waterproof chassis that is neither bigger nor thicker than comparable phones.
Features
- The quad core smartphone boasts of a 13.1 megapixel camera on the rear with an optional fingerprint scanner for biometric security. This sensor works as a proximity sensor too and will automatically switch off the display when the phone is set on the table.
- Utilizes the latest Android 4.0 Operating System (Ice Cream Sandwich version) and Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core processor for stable, blazing fast performances.
According to Fujitsu, the actual device is still months, maybe even a year away from production and is hopefully going to launch in Japan in late 2012. Fujitsu also has plans to ship it in the States. Since this is a prototype, the hardware and software configurations may change quite a bit when it sees a retail release.
